Detect bed bug activity early with the Domobios Bed Bug Trap, a discreet, ready-to-use monitor supplied in a pack of 10. Suitable for homes, hotels, B&Bs, hostels and care homes, it provides a practical way to check for activity and monitor areas after treatment.

The slim, wedge-shaped trap contains miniature cells that imitate the narrow hiding places bed bugs naturally seek. As they crawl inside, an adhesive roof captures them by their backs. The trap captures both adults and immature bed bugs, including nymphs, while its translucent base makes catches easy to inspect.

Containing no insecticides or added chemical attractants, Domobios fits discreetly around beds, behind headboards and in other concealed areas where bed bugs may hide.

How to use

1. Choose likely hiding places. For bed monitoring, the supplier recommends three traps: one at the head and one on each side, between the mattress and bed frame. Behind the headboard is another useful monitoring location.

2. Position the traps. Use the fixing strip where needed. Other suitable locations include bed frames, beneath sofa cushions, around wardrobes and cabinets, behind pictures and along skirting boards where activity is suspected.

3. Check the orientation. When placed horizontally on a surface, the cardboard side should face upwards so the glue forms the trap’s ceiling. When mounted vertically, keep the entrances facing downwards.

4. Inspect regularly. Check through the translucent base and record catches. Reposition if activity is still suspected but nothing is being caught.

5. Replace approximately every four weeks. This is the supplier’s general recommendation. Usable life depends on the tackiness of the glue and the surrounding conditions. Traps may last longer with the entrance facing downwards in environments that are not particularly dusty or humid. Replace sooner if the glue loses its tack or the trap becomes full.

Dispose of used traps hygienically. Keep out of reach of children and follow the instructions supplied. Use as part of a bed bug inspection and management programme, including monitoring after treatment.
